He was later admitted as a Solicitor in the Supreme Court of England and Wales in 2004 having secured Grade ‘A’ in the Qualified Lawyers Transfer Test (QLTT) and since then he has been practising as a Solicitor. Mr Ahmed also enrolled as an Advocate of the Supreme Court of Bangladesh and is currently a Member of the Dhaka Bar and the Bangladesh Supreme Court Bar Association. Mr Ahmed has skills and experience in international arbitration. He is a Fellow (FCIArb – the highest grade) of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb). He has advance management skills, qualification and experience. He has led various organisations at senior level in the past. He was awarded Fellowship (FCMI – the higher grade) by the Chartered Management Institute (CMI). Mr Ahmed also has expertise on environmental health and safety law. He achieved the highest grade (FRSPH) of the Royal Society for Public Health (RSPH). Mr Ahmed has been the Principal Solicitor of Lincoln’s Chambers Solicitors since 2008.

Alongside his studies and professional responsibilities, Mr Ahmed has been directly or indirectly involved with many local, national and international standard organizations. He has held various positions in different types of organisations in the past. In 1999, he was awarded the Nationwide’s “Award for Voluntary Endeavour.” Apart from this, he has acted in the past as an Election Commissioner/Chief Election Commissioner in elections of various reputable community, voluntary and social organisations including British-Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BBCCI) and the British-Bangladesh Caterers Association (BBCA).

Mr Ahmed often takes part in national and international seminars and symposiums. He has so far presented more than couple of dozen keynote papers in those seminars and symposiums at national and international levels on issues concerning national and international matters. Apart from being a Practising Solicitor, he often writes research based analytical articles on current, legal, social and constitutional issues in various newspapers, journals and magazines. Mr Ahmed has already authored and published five books. For his creative activities and contribution, Mr Ahmed was awarded Fellowship (FRSA) by the Royal Society of Arts (RSA). He is an Associate Fellow of the Society for Advanced Legal Studies (SALS), UK. Mr Ahmed is very active on the social media as well. His thoughtful and thought provoking post and status update in the face book with 5000 friends and over 12,000 followers have already received huge commendation and admiration.

Mr Ahmed was an Independent Custody Visitor of Mayor of London’s Office for Policing and Crime (MOPAC) in the past and has been serving as an Alumni Ambassador of Queen Mary, University of London, for Bangladesh.

Mr Ahmed wrote continuous articles on ‘Legal Problems and Legal Advice’ in the widely publicised first weekly broadsheet community newspaper for more than three years in the past. Often he does live programme in the Community TVs and Radio on Legal Advice. Frequently he attends and contributes on live Community TV talk shows on legal and social issues, and current affairs. He appeared at different TV Channels on numerous occasions in the last decade. Dozens of lead news and reports on contemporary and legal issues with his interview/opinion/views were published and broadcasted respectively at various leading newspapers and in TV Channels.

Mr Ahmed has been holding an important public office. He is a Councillor of Little Ilford Ward of London Borough of Newham elected with one of the highest number of votes. He has then been elected as the Deputy Chair (Deputy Speaker) of Newham Council.

Mr Ahmed has already visited nearly 50 countries of the world for various purposes. It is his utmost desire to serve the community, local people, the country and the nation through public representation and professional legal service.
